Hello
I have served on Wootton Parish Council since June 2023.
I have resided in Wootton Parish for 25 years and have children and grandchildren who all reside in the parish.
I originally joined the council to try to sort out the number of lights not working in Tudor Court. At one stage I saw pedestrians using torches in the evening. I managed to get all lights re-instated although it did take some time.
Since then, I have been Involved with many projects with my fellow councillors. Streetlighting re-instatement and replacement, overgrown vegetation cut back, drains emptied, street cleansing, litterbin replacement, to name just a few. What I have learnt is that the wheels of local government can turn very slowly, and it would be all too easy just to give up at the many setbacks you can face as a councillor. I have not done this and have no intention of doing so in the future. When I see, or if a resident makes me aware of an issue, I will pursue it to the outcome no matter how long it takes.
I really do think, we are all so lucky to live in Wootton Parish and will continue to strive to make Wootton Parish an even better area to live.
