About Me:
My family moved to Northampton in 1996, moving to the Parish itself for the last 15 years ago. My daughters both attend school locally, my better half is an education leader and I work in the land development and planning sector across the region for a major national agency.
I am proud to have been a part of the Parish Council for the last 10 years. It’s true that local people taking a passionate interest in where they live, giving up some time and energy along the way, can make a real difference with small and large projects, from taking ownership of land assets and green space, planting trees, improving road safety, upgrading children’s play equipment to developing an outdoor gym for all. I am especially proud to have headed up the Extension Committee and delivered the amazing extension to the Community Centre building with Library, Atrium and Cafe. I couldn’t bear the thought of losing our library, as was the County Council’s plan a few years back, my book loving family would have never forgiven me!
Wootton Parish is a brilliant place to live, and if you have a nagging idea that that just won’t go away to add an extra benefit or service then let me know and I’ll do my best to help. Parish Councils don’t always get things done ‘quickly’ but they can, and do, get things done!
